Butler University is one of UW-Green Bay’s rivals in athletics. We note that in an article about how Butler Athletic Director Barry Collier helped turn that into school a mid-major basketball power, he credits former UW-Green Bay basketball coach Dick Bennett as inspiration. Collier told the Indianapolis Star that during the 1995 offseason he spent two days with Bennett, and it was a turning point in his personal and professional life. Here’s a link.
