‘Flash fiction’ from Rebecca Meacham
Rebecca Meacham, associate professor of Humanistic Studies and English, is nearing completion of her historical novel based on the great Peshtigo fire of 1871, but she still finds time for the occasional “flash fiction” piece. In November, her very short story “Red Paint” won the Sundog Lit “Photogene 4” competition, a 500-word story contest inspired by a photo (http://sundoglit.com/photogene-4-2/). Also, her short piece “Two Weeks After Election Night, Mitt Romney Takes in Disneyland With His Grandkids” appears in Paperdarts Magazine.
