Faculty note: UW-Manitowoc’s Coen leads global leader discussion
In the first session of the 11th annual Great Decisions series at the Manitowoc Public Library Monday, Assistant Prof. Alise Coen (Political Science) from UW-Manitowoc and UW-Sheboygan called into question the United States’ position as a global leader. “Part of that ‘Pax Americana’ is asking what has happened to that power,” Coen said. “Is it eroding? Is it declining? So, the waning of Pax Americana is really asking the question is the U.S. position as sort of the top of the world order falling now?” The Herald Times Reporter has the story.
