Prof. Weinschenk interviews with popular Argentine media outlet

UW-Green Bay Associate Prof. Aaron Weinschenk (Political Science) was recently interviewed with one of Argentina’s most popular media outlets, Infobae. The interview focused on assessing the Trump presidency thus far. Read the article (written in Spanish). Here is an excerpt quoting Weinschenk: “It’s amazing how many political norms the president has violated—and how little many other politicians seem to care about those violations. We often think of formal institutions and processes as being really important in a democracy (and they surely are), but informal norms—those things that are not necessarily written down but that we have come to expect our leaders to follow—are also critical to our system. The president’s norm violations are pretty wide ranging—mixing private and public business, not disclosing tax returns, attacking the media and even certain reporters, and the list goes on.”
