Convocation day (and a complimentary lunch)

UW-Green Bay’s annual faculty-staff convocation kicks off the academic year at 10 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 28) in the Phoenix Room of the University Union.

Here’s the program:

•  Opening and welcome by emcee Prof. Cliff Abbott
•  Introduction of new employees
•  Presentation of the 2013 Founders Association Awards for Excellence
•  Remarks by Chancellor Tom Harden

The convocation program is followed at noon by a complimentary, employee-appreciation lunch in the Union’s Cloud Commons, provided courtesy of the University’s private supporters.

A gift for those who attend
Only seven Founders Awards will be presented at Wednesday’s convocation, but that doesn’t mean the other 400 or so people there won’t be taking home a prize. Everyone who attends will receive a modest but attractive and useful little gift in keeping with the employee-appreciation theme. The gift will be… sorry…  we’ll wait to let you find out at 10 a.m.
