Bring your pet spider, or a favorite snapshot

UW-Green Bay’s Cofrin Center for Biodiversity is hosting the 36th annual meeting of the American Arachnological Society Friday, July 20 through Tuesday, July 24 here on campus. As part of the event, members of the general public are invited to “Casual Night with Arachnids,” beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 22 in Mary Ann Cofrin (MAC) Hall. This offbeat event will allow community members to interact with some of the foremost arachnologists in the country, learning about spiders, getting questions answered — and, just maybe, overcoming their fears along the way. Members of the public are invited to bring spiders, or photos of spiders, for assistance in identification and to get their questions answered.
