No training necessary: Campus Create-a-Thon is all day Friday
The campus and larger communities are invited to have fun and get creative all day long Friday (April 19), when UW-Green Bay presents its first-ever “Create-a-Thon” in conjunction with the campus Common Theme. The Union’s Phoenix Club will be Create-a-Thon central from 10 a.m.-8 p.m., hosting events centered on music, art, improvisation and more. Participation-based art activities will include drawing, painting and the creation of a freeform knitting/crocheting project, along with a whiteboard project inspired by artist, designer and urban planner Candy Chang. Terrific musical performances will include “In C,” a composition that can accommodate any number of people — maybe including you? Interested participants will meet in the Band Room at 2:15 p.m. prior to a 3:15 p.m. performance. It’s all part of the 2012-13 Common Theme, “Creativity, Innovation and Vision.” For more details, check out our news release.
