Dietetics Internship program promotes ‘healthy-grocery-shopping’ primer

This Friday (March 23), at two different times, two different locations, the good people from the UW-Green Bay Dietetics Internship program will be offering what they call a “Health Grocery Shopping Tour.” Open to the general public, the first takes place from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Larrry’s Piggly Wiggly, De Pere. The second runs from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Larry’s Piggly Wiggly, Kaukauna. Good nutrition starts with smart choices in the grocery store, they say, and they’re promising pointers on healthy products and how to interpret labels, portions and serving size info. Participants will be separated into small groups. The note we received from program director Shelly Gabel says pre-registration is required; sign up at the service desks of the respective stores.
