UW-Green Bay to host family-fun event, ‘Trick-or-Treat Tot Trot’

Green Bay, Wis.—Rain or shine, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay will host a safe trick-or-treat event, titled “Trick-or-Treat Tot Trot,” for children on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The Office of Residence Life is the host.

The program is focused on pre-kindergarten through elementary school-age children from the Green Bay area. Participants and their adult chaperones/parents are asked to check-in at the Mauthe Center, 2418 Leon Bond Drive, Green Bay (adjacent to the Kress Events Center). Parking is available in the Kress Events Center lot or the Visitors lot near the University Union.

While there, children will be given a reusable trick-or-treat bag, will have the opportunity to take photos with costumed characters and will have a variety of treats to indulge in. From there, participants and their accompanying adult(s) will be led by a UW-Green Bay Ghost Guide to Roy Downham Hall, where they will trick-or-treat from room to room. Upon completion of the tour, Ghost Guides will return the groups to the Mauthe Center. An adult chaperone is required to accompany their children. Guides will leave intermittently. Families do not have to arrive at the Mauthe Center at 4:30 p.m.; however, the final tour will depart at 6:15 p.m.

“UW-Green Bay students and housing staff are thrilled to be able to welcome the Green Bay community for this age-appropriate event,” says Gail Sims-Aubert, Director of Residence Life. “We are pleased to bring this program back for a third year after our prior years’ successes where several hundred children toured our campus and enjoyed things like cookie decorating and receiving balloon animals in addition to getting loads of treats.”

Questions can be directed to Sims-Aubert at 920-465-2040.
