Opening night for ‘Songs for a New World’ is Thursday

The UW-Green Bay music and theatre programs open the weekend run of the musical “Songs for a New World” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday (March 4) in the University Theatre. During the two-act musical, the audience is transported to scenes including a 1492 Spanish sailing ship, a flag maker in 1775 colonial America, a present-day young man in the Bronx who dreams of being a basketball star. Theatre Prof. Laura Riddle directs a very talented student ensemble, with musical direction by Prof. Courtney Sherman and choreography by Denise Carlson-Gardner. Read more.
