Discussion: ‘Freedom of Individual Speech’ and the ‘Provision of Safe Spaces on Campus’
“Freedom of Individual Speech” and the “Provision of Safe Spaces on Campus” are two of many topics that are the focus of discussion and debate on many campuses across the United States. Students, faculty, staff, leadership and classes are invited to attend Tuesday, Nov.7, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Christie Theatre. In the first 30 minutes, a few of the statements that have been spoken and published in the United States on these important topics will be presented, followed by 30 minutes of audience discussion. Come add to the discussion on these topics that address varying viewpoints on academic freedom, safety and campus climate.
