Inclusive Excellence offers video on name pronunciation

Students have indicated that one of the ways they feel included on campus is when faculty and staff know and can pronounce their names correctly. To assist individuals who are not familiar with Hmong names, inclusive excellence intern Txhees Xiong created a short video in which Hmong names are posted, and viewers can hear the pronunciation of the names. You can access this video at: http://www.uwgb.edu/inclusive-excellence/Pronounciation-of-Hmong-Names/.

A short video was also created by students at UW-Lacrosse, called “Inclusive Negligence: Helping Educators Address Racial Inequality at UW-Lacrosse.” The 25-minute thought-provoking film can be found here: http://lacrossetribune.com/inclusive-negligence—helping-educators-address-racial-inequality-at/youtube_56a4b93a-8b0e-5156-936a-4e5e471d053d.html.
