Preparing exchange students for H1N1 flu
It’s not intended as a scare tactic, but UW-Green Bay officials are telling students who will study abroad in the spring that they should be prepared if there is an outbreak of the H1N1 flu in their host country. In a news story broadcast Saturday (Oct. 17), Brent Blahnik, director of the Office of International Education told WBAY-TV reporter Sarah Kronenberg that his office has added H1N1 flu to the list of situations that students should be prepared to face. Although not mandated, flu vaccinations will be encouraged, for all students, not just those travelling abroad. Read story.
