Free self-defense class for students

UW-Green Bay Public Safety is offering a free self-defense workshop for any UWGB student Thursday, Sept. 17, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Kress Event Center Special Events Room. The hands-on training will provide self-defense tips and instruction in strikes, kicks and ground defense techniques, and opportunities to use the trained techniques to respond to a simulated “attack.” The session is limited to the first 16 participants, so advance registration via email is required, and a waiver MUST be signed at the session. If you know students who would like to sign up, have them email Officer Chad Kleman.
