On sale at the Campus Garden this week
The campus gardens are in their prime. Some items are first-come, first-serve on Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Others need to be ordered through delstt15@uwgb.edu (see your campus e-mail for a list) and picked up during that same time.
Of the first-come, first-serve items:
- Leeks (King Arthur) 2 for $1
- Small Sweet and hot peppers 3 for $1
- Cilantro $1/bunch
- Purlane (highest omega 3 of any plant) $1.00/bunch
- Garlic (music and elephant varieties) $2.00/bulb
- Beets (merlin, chioggia) $1.00/bunch
- Carrots (nelson, purple haze) $1.00/bunch
- Potatoes (Purple Viking, butterballs) $1.00/lbs
- Summer squash (flying saucer) two for $1.00
- Cucumbers (marketmore) 2 for $1
- Tomatoes (heirloom varieties) $2/lbs
- Dill Garlic Pickles $3 per pint
- Kale $1/ bunch
- To place an order, request what you would like me to harvest and hold at (delstt15@uwgb.edu) and come pick it up during the pick up time
- Salad Greens (1/2 pound bag) – $2.00 (limit 2 bag per order)
- -mild salad mix (baby kale, mizuna, yukina, calendula flowers)
- Greens bunches – $1.00
- Swiss Chard (bright lights)
- Herbs – $1.00
- Basil, Dill, Sage, Oregano, tarragon, Mint
Campus Garden will continue in fall months
Due to overwhelmingly positive feedback, SLO Food Alliance will continue market orders during the fall semester. The Gardens are currently being prepared for fall harvests.
