History honors: Phi Alpha Theta chapter inducts new initiates

The Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the National History Honor Society, inducted 18 new initiates last week.

Congratulations to this year’s inductees:
Kate Bennett, Natasha A. Bruns, Wayne K. Clark, Jamie Leigh Anastasia Davis, Bradley Drephal, Robert Jeffrey Fehling, Kayla Rae Fillen, Paige Gayle, Megan Leonard, Heba Nael Mohammad, Nicholas Allen Oswald, Cazzandra M. Pollnow, Kristopher Schleis, Stephanie Schoeder, Hannah Tiedt, Jacob G. Voelker, Laina Rose Wydeven, Kara A. Zellers.

Assistant Prof. Eric J. Morgan, the chapter adviser, presided over the induction ceremony, and Associate Prof. Heidi Sherman gave a brief talk to the new initiates on “The Perils of Viking Fandom in Soviet Russia.” The Department of History congratulates these students for achieving this high honor, which recognizes outstanding performance by students in their history courses.
