“Celebrating Success” is an annual awards program designed to recognize local African-American, Native American, Hispanic, and Asian high school students who are making a positive impact in their schools and community. UW-Green Bay hosts the program Friday (May 6). “Typically, each school has a few students who, compared to their peers, have done exceptionally well academically, been role models, and made a difference. Most awardees are talented enough to enter the nation’s finest universities, yet there are also a few who face extraordinary challenges and have persevered in spite of these obstacles.” High school student service professionals nominate their “top three” juniors to be recognized. UW-Green Bay will honor approximately 40 students from local high schools. The event is sponsored by the UW-Green Bay Office of Admissions and supported by the Office of Residence Life.
