Future Alumni Association plans appreciation/action day this Thursday
The UW-Green Bay Future Alumni Association is a student organization on campus dedicated to promoting pride in UW-Green Bay, stewardship for alumni and helping students understand what it means to be a UWGB alumnus. This Thursday (Feb. 28), UW-Green Bay will join with colleges and universities around the country and beyond to observe the first-ever Student Engagement and Philanthropy Day celebrating volunteers, donors and friends who share their time, talents and treasures with the University. The students will coordinate two events. First, they will be “tagging” student scholarship recipients around campus with buttons to help bring awareness to students about how donors have a direct impact, and how important support from friends and alumni is to the University. Second, the Future Alumni will run a donor appreciation table in the University Union. The table will have a “did you know” contest about philanthropy on campus, and students will also encourage classmates to sign thank-you cards to donors. If you’d like to learn more about the day, UW-Green Bay’s events, or the national CASE initiative, contact Tracy Heaser in Advancement (HeaserT@uwgb.edu) or see the CASE website.
