Pops! profile: Blog dissects hard work of making concert TV look easy

A new Wisconsin Public Television blog post offers a cool behind-the-scenes look at how the WPT crew works its magic in making music TV — in this case, recording last weekend’s Green Bay Symphony Orchestra Holiday Pops! concerts at the Weidner Center. As we told you here yesterday, the show will air at 7 p.m. Thursday and 3 p.m. Christmas Day — and no doubt, the television experts will make it look easy. But there’s a lot that went into the production, including having a classically trained musician sit with the concert’s entire score, marked with post-it notes to indicate the important point of each track, throughout the show.
