UW-Green Bay Social Work Students Attend Anti-Racism Virtual Summit

The Social Work Professional Programs became a bronze sponsor of SW Helper’s Anti-Racism Virtual Summit held during spring break. Forty social work students and additional faculty members spent the three days during spring break attending a series of sessions focused on anti-racism, advocacy, and support for communities of people of color. As a program, Social Work has a goal of developing leaders in social work advocacy for people across all identities. The emphasis of the Summit is another step in UW-Green Bay Social Work’s efforts to promote social justice in a diverse and evolving world by engaging in strengths-based generalist practice that elevates human and community well-being. The faculty plans to offer a summit of their own for students and community partners in summer 2022.
