Laatsching on to a good gig
That’s ‘s geographer and Public and Environmental Affairs Prof. Bill Niedzwiedz (right) getting up-close and personal with his good friend and recently retired colleague Bill Laatsch. If people wondered what retirement would bring for Laatsch, who concluded his term as interim provost and his 43-year run as a UW-Green Bay professor earlier this year, here’s at least one possible answer.
Laatsch donned the red suit on Dec. 4 as a favor to the Phoenix Bookstore folks who were promoting their annual holiday sale. When he wasn’t posing for photos, he was letting fly with the “ho-ho-ho’s” and steering potential customers into the shop.
Incidentally, Christina Trombley, director of the Small Business Development Center, was the winner of Friday’s “ID the Guy in the Red Suit Contest.”
