‘Startup Week Green Bay’ kicks off today, Nov. 6, at 3:30 p.m.

Startup Week Green Bay kicks off at UW-Green Bay on Monday, Nov. 6 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Wood Hall 117. “Learn from an Entrepreneur: from Aerospace to Innovations for Aging & Health” is the event theme. Two-time Wisconsin Business Plan Contest finalist, entrepreneur and founder of VibeTech, Jeff Leismer Ph.D, will discuss his NASA spin-off company and its products that improve physical functioning in older adults. Attendees will also learn about the Innovation in Aging student idea competition where UW-Green Bay students will design ideas to improve the quality of life for an aging population and compete for up to $500. The event is sponsored by the College of Health, Education and Social Welfare; WiSys; UW-Green Bay C.E.O. (Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization); and UW-Green Bay Gerontology Center. The event is free, pizza will be served and the UWGB community is invited.
