Correction: Approaching CATL deadlines
Don’t forget to get your proposals in for the following quickly approaching deadlines with the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL):
- Teaching Enhancement Grant (TEGs) proposals are due Friday, Oct. 28. TEGs provide funding for professional development activities or projects that can lead to the improvement of teaching skills or the development of innovative teaching strategies. Please visit the CATL website for details.
- Wisconsin Teaching Fellows & Scholars applications are due Monday, Oct. 31 (correction). The Wisconsin Teaching Fellows and Scholars program is OPID’s signature professional development program. The WTF&S program offers UW faculty and teaching academic staff a unique opportunity to collaborate with other exceptional teachers from across the UW System and from various disciplines. Please contact Caroline Boswell, catl@uwgb.edu, with any questions about this program.
- Proposals for faculty workshops for the Winter Teaching Institute are due Friday, Nov. 4. CATL would like to showcase the thoughtful minds of our community at work as they grapple with the interesting problems percolating in higher education. CATL is seeking ideas and solutions to problems in teaching and learning and beyond. Workshops should: frame issues that are important to you, work to discuss the issue in depth and in fine detail, relate more broadly to the campus community as a whole, and provide tangible take-a-way’s for participants. Session descriptions should be no more than 250 words and submitted to catl@uwgb.edu.
