UW-Green Bay retirees honored at spring reception
Forty-two retirees were recognized for their 876 collective years of service at a spring reception on Monday, May 23, at the Weidner Center. Those in attendance were honored with a brief description of their extensive contributions and were recognized by Chancellor Gary Miller and the leadership team. President of the UWGB Retiree Association Jim Wiersma encouraged retirees to stay active and engaged in their University.
“The dedication of these individuals and their contributions are examples of what make this institution such an incredible place,” said Steve Meyer, UW-Green Bay Secretary of the Faculty and Staff, and emcee of the evening. “Our people make coming to work every day, working for the students and the betterment of our community and society, worth it every day. Today, we have the privilege of honoring a few that have given much of their time and talent over their careers…”
