UW-Green Bay Outreach offers Video Game Programming camps

Students entering grades 8 through 12 in fall 2013 can enroll now for one of two sessions of Video Game Programming Camp, being offered Sunday-Wednesday July 7-10 and Sunday-Wednesday July 14-17, at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, 2420 Nicolet Drive.

Join us as we learn about the world of object-oriented programming and receive an introduction to developing software in a gaming environment. Campers will learn the basic techniques of creating games and will be introduced to object-oriented programming. Campers will learn how to make objects interact with each other through events and will learn how to program some basic games.

Camp Director and Instructor Ben Geisler has worked at four AAA game development houses: Raven Software, Human Head Studios, Frozen Codebase and Radical Entertainment. He has worked on more than six best-selling games and been involved with publisher relations at Vivendi Universal Games, THQ, Konami and Activision. His past credits include Soldier of Fortune 2, X-Men Legends, Jedi Knight 2, Quake 4, The Incredible Hulk: UD, Elements of Destruction, Burgertime World Tour, Prey 2 and Prototype.
