Editorial: UW-Green Bay should consider housing requirement
An editorial set to appear in the Green Bay Press-Gazette on Thursday urges UW-Green Bay to “carefully consider requiring freshmen to live on campus.” UW-Green Bay has been exempt from a UW System residency policy due to a lack of space. But Glenn Gray, director of housing and residence life, told the newspaper that the University could accommodate more traditional-age freshmen (beyond the 75 percent or so who typically reside here) now that Keith Pamperin Hall is open. “It’s certainly something we philosophically believe in,” Gray said, pointing to statistics that show freshmen that live on campus adjust more quickly to college.
