NAS selects, honors students receiving nearly $16,000 in scholarships
Some terrific Natural and Applied Sciences students were honored Friday (Feb. 1) during the annual NAS Scholarship Reception. NAS awarded nearly $16,000 to 16 students, and introduced a brand-new award, the Morgan/Macaluso Family Endowed Scholarship in the Natural Sciences. Donors Mike (a former UWGB prof) and Gloria Morgan were recognized during the reception, having established the scholarship last year in memory of their parents, Lewis and Ruth Morgan and George and Helen Macaluso. Each student scholarship recipient was individually honored, with scholarship committee chair Prof. Steven Meyer detailing his or her impressive lists of accomplishments, accolades, faculty praise and future plans.
