UW-Green Bay students benefit from First Nations Traveling Resource
The First Nations Traveling Resource Center visited UW-Green Bay Wednesday (May 5). Marge (Grandma) Greene, a Lac du Flambeau Ojibwa Elder, and longtime Lac du Flambeau resident Carol Ann Armour shared their collection of books by and about First Nations history and culture. The First Nations Traveling Resource Center focuses on the tribes of Wisconsin and was developed in cooperation with UW-Green Bay Associate Prof. Lisa Poupart of Humanistic Studies, and J.P. Leary, Director of American Indian Studies for the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
