UW-Green Bay professors present at the International Sports Heritage Association conference
Rachel Scray, Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning and Profs. Heidi Sherman, Humanities and History and Jon Shelton, Democracy and Justice Studies and History presented with Brent Hensel, Curator of the Packers Hall of Fame at the International Sports Heritage Association conference held this year at Lambeau Stadium. Their talk focused on an experimental course Hensel, Shelton, and Sherman taught in 2018 (repeated in 2019) about the Packers and the Green Bay community.
A Digital and Public Humanities student in 2018, Rachel Scray shared the students’ perspectives. They presented their model for collaboration between community partners, their classrooms, and campus archives. The conference was attended by more than one hundred sports organizations in the US and Canada.
