UW-Green Bay group cuts big check for Haiti medical relief

Prof. Angela Bauer-Dantoin of Human Biology, on behalf of the students, faculty and staff of the UWGB Stands With Haiti campaign, reports the group just sent a whopping check for $4,138.43 to the medical aid organization Partners in Health. The money was collected primarily at donation tables around campus staffed by volunteers from at least three UW-Green Bay student organizations — the Pre-Med Club, the Social Work Club and the student chapter of the Wisconsin Education Association — and during a few dash-for-cash collections during Phoenix basketball games. “We’re all so pleased with the results,” Bauer-Dantoin said. “We have a truly generous group of people on campus.”
