New driving range ready at Shorewood Golf Course

In an effort to provide more services to its customers, Shorewood Golf Course personnel have created a “driving range” within the existing boundaries of the golf course. The new range is set up in between former holes #1 and #9. Those two holes essentially remain as they were but with the tee boxes moved. Hole #1 now tees off from the former practice putting green and the hole #9 teeing ground is the back of the #3 tee box with the players hitting their drives over the pond (there is also a forward box on the other side of the pond for golfers playing the yellow or red tee blocks). The driving range teeing area makes use of the former #1 tee box right outside the clubhouse. The hitting area is the rough that was between the former #1 and #9 fairways. A small bucket (45 balls) costs $5 and a large bucket (75 balls) costs $8 and there will also be a pre-round “mini-bag” of about 15 balls available. To make a tee time, call 920.465.2118 or visit the website to book a tee time on-line.  You can also book by e-mail at shorewood@uwgb.edu.
