Prof. Cupit says ‘Our future is in good hands with today’s youth’

Professor Illene Cupit (Human Development/Psychology) says in a piece for the Green Bay Press Gazette that from her point of view we might want to rethink the “tsk-tsk” often directed at the younger generation. Her work with today’s youth as part of Camp Lloyd and her recent trip with 28 students to Slovakia and Poland has her thinking this generation is pretty special. “So don’t tell me that the younger generation is going to “hell in a hand basket.  Of course there are young people who are just as selfish, immature and mean-spirited as those who have preceded them. But there are so many, many good young people who make a difference at home and abroad, and I come back to my beautiful country and my wonderful university with a renewed sense of hope for the future.” Read it here.
