Alumni Reunion Days in Review
Organizers of UWGB Family Weekend and Alumni Reunion Days couldn’t have picked a more beautiful couple of days to host key fall events, which ran simultaneously, October 24-25 2014. The most well-attended of the events were the horse-pulled hayrides with nearly 700 people enjoying the slow-paced opportunity to explore campus, and the Green and White Scrimmage, when the Green Bay men’s and women’s basketball teams took to the floor for a public display of their championship-style pace and reputation (each are predicted to win their conference titles this year) as well as the men’s basketball dunk contest at the Kress Events Center (won by senior Kiefer Sykes). In the photo gallery, you will see students, families, friends, alumni, faculty and staff, enjoying many of the two-day list of activities including the 2014 alumni t-shirt unveiling (designed by artist and alumnus Ryan Stewart); the first Alumni ID Card ($10 for a lifetime and all kinds of great benefits) purchasers, alumni Wayne and Anita Resch; a photography show by alumni with wine and cheese tasting thanks to donations by Captain’s Walk and Von Stiehl Wineries and Renards Cheese (each with alumni ties), a bonfire, the play “Uncommon Women,” women’s soccer, discounts and balloons and face painting sponsored by The Phoenix Bookstore, comedians, a Weidner show, etc… What a weekend!
