The Phoenix Bookstore will be starting to set the shelves for spring 2020. To make room, they will be returning large overstocks of the fall textbooks with the class start date of Sept. 4, 2019. If you have any questions or concerns, please let the Phoenix Bookstore know by calling 920-391-6600, as they can hang onto more copies of specific books if needed. Otherwise, extra textbooks will be returned to publishers.
The Phoenix Bookstore has received questions on how to order books online through its website. Visit the online guide on The Phoenix Bookstore website, or follow these steps:
1. Go to http://sis.uwgb.edu/schedule/
2. Enter the term and other search criteria and click “show classes.”
3. Click on the “Class Title” of the class interested in, which brings up the “Schedule of Classes – Detail” screen.
4. Click on “View Book Information” to the right of “Course Materials”

It is textbook buyback time again at The Phoenix Bookstore. Bring your textbooks — including loose leaf — and receive cash for your books (amount varies). Buyback hours are:
- Thursday, Dec. 15: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Friday, Dec. 16: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Open late to accommodate finals schedule
- Saturday, Dec.17: 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Monday, Dec. 19: Wednesday, Dec. 21: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
All rentals are due December 23.

The Phoenix Bookstore offers a few tips to help students receive more cash for their books at official buyback May 9 to 12.
- When the Bookstore has the textbook request for the next semester in hand before buyback, students receive more money for their books.
- Textbooks bought during buyback that are used for the following semester stay on campus and lowers the cost of textbooks.
- Thousands of textbook buyback dollars go from student hands back into the campus and Green Bay community.
The Phoenix Bookstore is open most days over winter break, and they’re still in the book-buyback mode, but staff members are now turning their attention to reminding students to pre-order spring textbooks right now. EZ Book forms are available at the store. Students can also log into their SIS accounts, click on “Order Books” and voila…all their textbooks will magically appear in their cart. Make textbook option choices (new, used, rental, ebook) and on to the checkout (with friendly bookstore staff ensuring books are ready for pickup when students return to campus.) Those who need help can call 1-800-321-UWGB.
The Phoenix Bookstore is reminding students (and those who work with students) that it’s time to keep textbooks on campus and put cash in their pockets by bringing current and past semester textbooks to the store. Bonus buyback coupon good for 20% off your apparel and gift purchase AND double Phlash Rewards points. December 15-18: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm; December 19: 10 am – 2 pm; and December 21: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. The store is open late, until 6 pm, on Friday, December 18 to accommodate final schedules.
The Phoenix Bookstore announces that Textbook Buyback Days commence Monday, May 11. From the 11th through Thursday the 14th, hours are 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Hours are 8:30 to 4 on Friday, May 15, and 10 to 2 on Saturday, May 16.
Students are reminded to return their RENTAL textbooks to the Phoenix Bookstore before May 15. Bring your ID and all materials to the store Monday-Thursday 8 am – 6 pm; Friday 8 am – 4:30 pm; Saturday 10 am – 2 pm.
The Textbook Queen, Sherry Lacenski, is hanging up her crown after 25+ years of outstanding service to UW-Green Bay. There’ll be a gathering from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, May 1, in the Union’s 1965 Room, with cake and lemonade. Faculty members are asked to announce to their classes that the Phoenix Bookstore will begin returning unsold copies of textbooks to vendors starting March 30. To avoid a delay in finding the book at the store, students should purchase any needed books by that time.
