What’s Up at UW-Green Bay? (A lot!)

Here is what’s happening this weekend and to start the school year…

Welcome to the Phlock – GB Welcome Weekend!

Excitement! High energy! It’s time to welcome students back to the Phlock for the 2024-25 school year! Here are the highlights of the weekend:

Saturday, August 31

  • On-campus housing move-in, including the NEW Cort Condon Hall. (The 2,000 beds on campus are full!)
  • 7 p.m. – ice cream social with the Chancellor including the annual painting of the Phoenix (MAC Hall Circle)

Monday, September 2

  • 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. – Service project with all new & incoming UWGB students! This year we have various projects hosted by Brown County Parks Department & Community Gardens. Followed by a Civic Engagement Celebration at Lambeau Field.

And…All Students Get Started with GB Week!

It’s a week of getting back together with fellow problem-solvers and forward thinkers! GB Week offers something for everyone, including:

Saturday, Sept 7 at 6 p.m.

  • Outdoor Music Fest with music from Bandas Los Locales

Sunday, Sept. 8 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

  • A trip to Bay Beach with free tickets for students provided by UREC Outdoors

Friday, September 13 from 7 – 8:30 p.m.

  • Hypnotist Michael C. Anthony hosts what might be the funniest show you have ever seen.

Open houses, S’mores at the firepit, Esports tryouts and gaming demos, and all of the ways to become immersed in UW-Green Bay! A full list of events can be found here.

Mark Your Calendars for Estamos Aqui’

The festival that welcomed more than 8,000 visitors on campus last year is back, bigger than ever. Music, games, and have you seen the bubbles?! It will be fun for the whole family on Saturday, September 14 from 3 to 10 p.m. More information on Estamos Aqui’ can be found here.
