Faculty having applied for GIAR funding in the past will want to note that revisions have been made to the GIAR call. The Research Council invites members of the UW-Green Bay faculty to submit proposals for Grants in Aid of Research. The funds must be used in support of faculty research. Just announced: New Research Council Grant helps drives knowledge and technology to commercialization

The Research Council invites members of the UW-Green Bay community to submit proposals for the WiSys Spark Grant Program. The WiSys Spark Grant Program has been designed to help faculty and staff advance their knowledge and technology to commercialization. The short application form is due April 23, 2018. The Fund provides awards to faculty, academic staff, or students towards implementation and completion of short-term projects. WiSys Spark Grants are intended to support research projects where preliminary findings exist, and is designed to demonstrate the commercial potential of a new concept, technology or invention and to highlight the need for and type of additional development support that would be required to take the technology closer to the marketplace. The UW-Green Bay Research Council has extended the deadline for the Summer Research Scholar Program. Faculty having applied for the Research Scholar Program in the past will want to note that this program has undergone significant change in recent years. The Summer Research Scholar Program is designed to provide stipend support during the summer for the purpose for developing or continuing a significant research project that substantially exceeds the baseline expectation for faculty scholarship. UW System Applied Research Grant program information session, Oct. 4

WiSys and the Office of Grants & Research will host a grant information session for UW-Green Bay faculty from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4, in University Union 125. This event will focus on the Applied Research Grant programs offered by WiSys in collaboration with the UW System Administration. Participants will learn what’s new for this year, guidelines to apply and how to write a successful proposal. Webinar spaces are also available on Oct. 4, 18, 25 and 26.
