Prof. Sarah Meredith Livingston serves on jury at international voice competition

UW-Green Bay Prof. Sarah Meredith Livingston (Music) was invited to be a member of the international jury at the 53rd International Dvorak Voice Competition in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, November 7-17, 2018. In the week-long event, 106 singers from 26 countries participated, culminating in a public concert at the end of the week. Meredith Livingston and Sharon Resch, Green Bay arts supporter, also arranged a concert for Ms. Jiebing Chen, international erhu player, at the opening event of the competition and then a public concert at the Miro Gallery, Prague, Czech Republic on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018. Meredith Livingston’s trip was made possible with partial support by UW-Green Bay’s Research Council. Hear the recording of the winners made by the Czech radio team. Community advocate Sharon Resch (below, seated with Meredith Livingston) was also honored at the competition for her patronage of the Czech/Slovak Voice Competition.
