Nominations requested for 2018 Founders Association Awards

It’s time to start submitting nominations for the 2018 Founders Association Awards. The Awards & Recognition Committee encourages anyone from the UW-Green Bay community to nominate a faculty member, instructor, lecturer or staff member they would like to see honored at next year’s Fall Convocation. A list of awards and descriptions of award criteria, as well as a list of previous award winners can be found online. The deadline for submission is March 9, 2018.

The nomination form can be completed electronically. Individuals and groups who have received the Founders Association Award for a given category within the last 15 years will not be eligible for that same category. Also, self-nominated individuals and groups will not receive consideration. If the individual(s) you nominate is (are) selected as a finalist(s), you will be contacted to provide further information such as background information on your nominee, letters of support addressing the nominee’s qualifications for the award, etc. All awards will be presented at the campus-wide convocation in August.

Online nomination for a University Leadership Award is now open

The online nomination process for the University Leadership Awards program (Chancellor’s Medallion, University Leadership Award and Outstanding Student Award) is now open. The process is secure and will have the most current information available.

Review the award nomination criteria on the University Leadership Awards Website – click on Fall Awards.

Step 1: Click on Nominations and log in using your campus log in credentials. Find a student to nominate by searching for his/her name or by viewing a list of potential graduates; add the student and award nomination to your nomination list

Step 3: Submit your nomination list

You will receive an email confirmation upon completion. Important: Your nominations will not be submitted or saved until you complete step 3. You will be timed-out after several hours of inactivity and your unsaved nomination list will be emptied. Please complete all your nominations in a single session. Nominations can only be submitted one time. After you complete your nominations, any additional nominations will need to be sent via email to osl@uwgb.edu. To access the nomination site, you can find it on the Student Life website http://www.uwgb.edu/student-life/, click on University Leadership Awards then click on Nominations, or by clicking on the direct link https://sis.uwgb.edu/studentlife/awards/nomination/. The nomination deadline is Monday, September 12, 2016 at 11:59 p.m.

Nominations for Lavender Awards

Nominations are being sought for the Lavender Leadership Awards. If you know of a student, faculty member, or staff member who has “made significant contributions to improving the lives of gender, sexuality, and romantic minorities here at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay,” nominate to Loretta Rafter at rafterl@uwgb.edu by 4 p.m. Thursday. Awards will be presented at the Lavender Graduation on April 9. Previous recipients of the support award (and therefore ineligible) are Stacie Christian, Joanie Dovekas and Jeff Willems.
 

Last call: Nominate now for Academic Excellence Symposium


The 14th Annual UW-Green Bay Academic Excellence Symposium which showcases the academic excellence of our undergraduate and graduate students, and internships, will take place Tuesday April 7, in the Phoenix Room of the University Union, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Faculty are reminded to nominate students to present work, and have them complete the application proposal.
