An e-mail notification was sent out to those who RSVP’d for Tuesday’s noontime campus cookout for employees that the event will be held indoors at the Kress east gym because of chilly temperatures. Here’s a reminder that those attending can donate non-perishable food or personal-hygiene items to the UWGB Campus Cupboard. (No glass, please.)
On April 22, an e-mail was sent to UW-Green Bay faculty and staff inviting the campus community to the 2015 UW-Green Bay Campus Cookout to take place Tuesday, May 12. The e-invite contained information about the annual Employee Appreciation Week food drive sponsored by HR; this year, to the benefit of the UWGB Campus Cupboard. Our previous communication should have included the new link for the Campus Cupboard website for those interested in viewing the suggested items.
This just in from Human Resources: “Thank you very much to everyone who donated to Paul’s Pantry at the Campus Cookout on Tuesday! They are grateful for the food and personal hygiene items, and we are touched by your thoughtful generosity!”
The annual Campus Cookout, an employee and retiree appreciation event, takes place Tuesday (May 13) at the Kress Events Center. Lunch will be served from noon to 1:15 p.m., with brief remarks at 12:30 acknowledging retirees and the not-really-retiring-but-stepping-down-as-chancellor Tom Harden. Also, attendees are reminded that they can donate non-perishable food or personal hygiene items to Paul’s Pantry at the Campus Cookout (no glass please). Some suggested items are peanut butter, cereal, soup, mac’n’cheese, canned fruit or vegetables, toothpaste, shampoo, diapers, baby food and etc. Paul’s Pantry has a suggestion list.
The annual Campus Cookout with honors for retiring colleagues and a complimentary employee-appreciation lunch will take place Tuesday, May 13, in the Kress Events Center’s East Gym. Lunch will be served between noon and 1:15 p.m. with a brief program starting after 12:30. The Chancellor, Provost, Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance and Assistant Chancellor will host the event, and Human Resources will again conduct a charity food drive. Watch for more details and the online RSVP later in April.

The date for the annual Campus Cookout is Tuesday, May 14, with the complimentary buffet lunch for all employees from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the old East Gym of the Kress Events Center. As always, a brief program at noon will honor retirees and recognize emeriti employees. Music by Rough Draft, and Human Resources will again organize a food drive for Paul’s Pantry and observe Employee Appreciation Day. Look for your email invitation in Wednesday’s mail.
