UW-Green Bay ignites the imagination with creative, hands-on summer camp options for kids

Green Bay, Wis. – Local youth entering grades 2 through 12 are invited to participate in the fun of a summer camp at UW-Green Bay! Faculty and regional experts work together to keep young minds and bodies engaged and active this summer with more than 20 in-person youth programs, designed to inspire and enrich the lives of youth in our community.

This summer, UW-Green Bay will offer select camps in partnership with departments across campus, including Video Game Programming, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), Camp Lloyd, Pride, specialty camps for Oneida Nation youth, partnerships with Einstein Project, GEAR UP, WSMA, and more!

Registration for Summer 2023 Camps is open now, and many are available with the help of scholarships. More information including specific session dates, cost, applications and registration deadline can be found on the website.

“Our camp experiences allow youth to safely engage, enrich their lives, and become inspired, these are our top priorities for our programming,” said Patti Schevers, Education Outreach Executive Manager for UW-Green Bay. “Camps offer a hands-on learning experience that is high-quality, due to our dedicated and passionate faculty and staff who facilitate our camps.”

Camps are offered in June, July, and August take will take place at three of the four Green Bay campus locations for summer 2023.

Camp Lloyd has been offered at UW-Green Bay every summer for the past eighteen years. It is a week-long camp for grieving children to explore their feelings and benefit from the support of their peers, professional grief counselors, and trained student interns from UW-Green Bay.

UW-Green Bay’s nationally recognized Pride Center helps run Pride camps for middle school and high school students. Students will meet LGBTQ+ peers and allies and work toward expanding their personal awareness of the LGBTQ+ community.
