Fuel employee growth and organizational excellence with new UW-Green Bay Certificate in Training and Development

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 15, 2024

Online classes will be held from August through December 2024

Green Bay, WI — UW-Green Bay is offering a new certificate program designed to optimize talent and performance, ensuring employees make the most of their abilities and maximize performance. The Training and Development Certificate courses will take place live online 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. beginning in August of 2024 and are taught by regional experts with extensive experience in the human resources field. Registration is now open and affordable.

Employee training and development is key to employee retention. Yet talent cultivation is not always perfectly understood by human resource (HR) and training professionals at area companies and organizations. Become committed to recognizing and supporting potential in employees, and amp up your results with a certificate that delivers expertise in adult learning, adaptive technologies and best practice training. Courses are designed to inspire excellence and are effective for HR professionals, development specialists, educators or trainers, consultants or presenters and anybody interested in talent management.

Course topics will cover:

  • Adult & Lifelong Learning Principles
  • Instructional Design
  • Technology in Training
  • Facilitating Sessions
  • Training Evaluation Methods
  • Current Trends
  • Project Management (dual credit with HR Management)
  • Coaching Skills (dual credit with HR Management)
  • Evaluating the Individual (dual credit with HR Management)
  • Effective Change Management (dual credit with HR Management)

This certificate program integrates with UW-Green Bay’s HR Management certificate program. If you complete the Training and Development certificate program, you will have already completed four of the ten courses needed to complete the HR management certificate program, and vice versa.

Upon successful completion of sessions, participants can earn a UW-Green Bay Training and Development badge. In addition, this certificate program qualifies for a maximum of 30 points with the ATD Certification Institute. UW-Green Bay has been pre-approved by the Institute to offer educational programs that can be used towards initial eligibility and recertification of the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) and Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) credentials.
