Performances will take place at the Herbert L. Williams Theatre on the UW-Green Bay, Marinette campus. Tickets are available on Ticketstar.

“’Waiting for the Parade’” shares the untold story of valiant women on the homefront, making it possible for their men to join the Allied fight in the combat theatres of Europe, Africa, and the Pacific,”

says John Thornberry, director.

Five Canadian women work through their anxieties about World War II through courage, tension, humor and a little music. Marta, a German immigrant, combats prejudice and social isolation; Eve, a young school teacher, is unsettled by those who champion war (including her husband); Margaret, a God-fearing mother, is afraid she has lost her boys to war in more ways than one; Catherine, a young woman new to the workforce, struggles with the uncertainty of her husband’s fate; and Janet, the bossy organizer, obsessed with volunteering for the war effort activities. Follow these women while they endlessly wait for their men to return and discover their inner strength in the process.

Playing the five women are talented local actors:

Lisa Atkinson-LeBoeuf …………………………………………………………. Margaret

Kate Schwaba…………………………………………………………………………….. Eve

Sarah Severson………………………………………………………………………… Janet

Staci Suennen …………………………………………………………………………. Marta

Brittany Welch Pilz……………………………………………………………… Catherine
