UW-Green Bay to host ‘Business Week 2011’

A father and son duo representing two major companies will discuss leadership in the real world as the highlight of the first-ever “Business Week 2011” hosted by the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

Sam and Andy MacMillan, business leaders for Hewlett-Packard and Oracle Enterprise 2.0, respectively, are the keynote speakers at a dinner at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24 at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts, 2420 Nicolet Drive. The MacMillans will speak on “The Leadership Question.”

Tickets for the dinner are $35 per person. The event begins with a networking reception at 4:30 p.m.

The reception, dinner and presentation highlights a weeklong list of activities Feb. 21-24 including panel discussions, a job and internship fair and networking opportunities.

Sam MacMillan is vice president and account executive for Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services’ U.S. Public Sector. He is responsible for nine accounts comprising all business supporting the U.S. Navy. His son, Andy MacMillan, is vice president of product management for Oracle Enterprise 2.0 and is responsible for the go-to-market strategy for Oracle’s comprehensive portal and enterprise content management products.

Business Week 2011 is presented by UW-Green Bay’s Austin E. Cofrin School of Business. Georgia-Pacific is the event’s major sponsor.
