Student gets Christmas wish — for a very special buddy
Apple’s iPad 2 made its way onto many Christmas wish lists this season, including that of UW-Green Bay sophomore Chelsea Rouse. But Rouse, a Human Development major, wasn’t looking to play Angry Birds — nor did she even want the device for herself. Instead, Rouse submitted her request to the WIXX Christmas Wish List on behalf of a very special buddy — a 6-year-old autistic child with whom she works (the iPad has an app that could help the boy learn to communicate). Rouse’s wish was granted, and we’ve got her full story — including audio of her ecstatic and emotional response.
