Sutton has big week with Rough Draft and ‘Romeo’ preview

English professor Brian Sutton and recent UWGB grad Molly LeCaptain — the two remaining members of the band Rough Draft, now that Shelbi Cox had graduated and moved away — are busy this coming week, both separately and together, with mostly Broadway-themed music. On Wednesday, June 27, Brian will be joined by cast members from his original musical “Searching for Romeo” to play in the “Broadway on Broadway” series at the Black Boot, 100 S. Broadway in De Pere. They’ll perform well-known songs from Broadway musicals and preview songs from Brian’s original musical. On Friday, June 29, Molly performs at the Riverside Ballroom in the Daddy D Production of “Broadway Bound,” also featuring songs from Broadway musicals. And on Saturday, June 30, Brian and Molly will perform together, as Rough Draft, at Chefusion Restaurant and Lounge, 307 N. Broadway, from 7:30 to 10:30, performing covers of artists such as Adele, Sara Bareilles, and Eva Cassidy, as well as — you guessed it — songs from Broadway musicals and from Brian’s original musical “Searching for Romeo.”
