Passing of Barb Schmeling

Word has been received of the death of former UW-Green Bay employee Barb Schmeling. Her son Karl indicated Saturday that arrangements were private but an obituary will be appearing soon in the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Barb died Dec. 8 in Alabama, where she and her husband, Todd, spend the winter. In the 1970s Barb Schmeling worked as a cashier in the Bursar’s Office. She took courses toward her bachelor’s and earned her UW-Green Bay degree in accounting in 1997. She served as a financial specialist, accounts receivable, until her retirement about three years ago.
