Phoenix women go 1-2 at tough Virgin Islands tournament

The Green Bay women’s basketball team concluded play in the Paradise Jam Sunday night, dropping a close 54-43 decision to powerful Rutgers. Coach Kevin Borseth’s team had previously beaten Tulane and lost to Virginia in the tournament played in St. Thomas, the U.S. Virgin Islands. Green Bay will take a week off before returning to the court on Sunday, Dec. 6, against the Drake Bulldogs in Des Moines, on Dec. 9 at Hinkle Fieldhouse against Butler and Dec. 13 at the Kohl Center against the Wisconsin Badgers, before returning to the Kress Center on Dec. 16 vs. Loyola.
