Green Bay men’s basketball sets record against Lakeland

The Green Bay men’s basketball team gained confidence in its 2017-18 home-opener with a 98-27 winner over Lakeland on Friday night (Nov. 17, 2017) at the Resch Center. The 71-point victory by the Phoenix (1-1) sets a new record for margin of victory, while its 71 rebounds sets both a conference and program record as well. The Phoenix jumped out to a 11-0 lead and never looked back, leading 46-11 at the half before allowing its fewest points in a game (27) since permitting 21 against Northern Michigan in 1996. Green Bay will face Mississippi State on the road tonight (Nov. 20) at 7 p.m.
