EPIC is an epic success, again

This past weekend (Nov. 9-10, 2019) , a collaborative steering committee comprised of UW-Green Bay Psychology faculty (Jenell Holstead, Jason Cowell, Ryan Martin, Georjeanna Wilson-Doenges) and local high school teachers (Amy Ramponi, Jason Baudhuin, Adam Wiskerchen) hosted the annual Excellence in Psychology Instruction Conference (EPIC) at Mary Ann Cofrin Hall. Fifty high school and university psychology instructors from Wisconsin and the upper Midwest attended the event covering a multitude of innovative teaching presentations and workshops. In fall 2019, the EPIC team received the Founders Award for Excellence in Collaborative Achievement.

Keynote speaker Garth Neufeld teaches at Cascadia College in Washington State. He is the founder of Teaching Introductory Psychology Northwest and the co-founder of the PsychSessions: Conversations About Teaching N’ Stuff podcast. Garth is the Director of Regional Conference Programming for the Society for the Teaching of Psychology and the co-chair of APA’s Introductory Psychology Initiative.
