UW-Green Bay helps scouts with water badge
UW-Green Bay, in collaboration with NEW Water, helped more than 75 girl scouts earn their water badges in highly-interactive activities on Saturday, Nov. 6. The event was called “Wonders of Water” Badge Day. Most activities took place between 12:15 p.m. and 3 p.m. in UWGB’s Laboratory Sciences building and the Mauthe Center. UW-Green Bay Profs. Patricia Terry and Ryan Holzem led the effort for UWGB. The girl scouts rotated to unique stations that included the study of hydroponics, nitrogen testing, water treatment, aquaponics and more.
